NYFC Ministry Model

Programs
We run a variety of programs throughout the towns of Northumberland County. These programs are created based on perceived needs in the communities. Through these programs we build relationships with youth becoming a part of their lives.

Mentoring
As relationships are built within the group settings of the programs we invite youth to be part of a more personal relationship through matching them with a mentor who can care for them individually.

Places of Discipleship
P.O.D.’s stands for Places Of Discipleship. These are groups where youth can explore, grow and participate in, their ongoing relationship with God. These are safe, caring environments where youth are challenged, heard and encouraged as they discover what it means to follow Christ.

Feeding Back
We recognize that active participation is at the forefront of an individual's development. In light of this, as we see youth growing in their character and skill set, we invite them to 'feed back' into the various programs as student volunteers; for it is by giving that we grow.

Prayer
At NYFC we believe strongly that Christ cares for the youth of Northumberland much more than we ever could. And so, we surround all that we do with prayer; asking God to show us how to best meet the needs of individuals that come through our doors.
